Carving bars

Does anyone know where or indeed if one is available to fit the electric Stihl 140?

stihl make one ,it is not bad imo but not very rated by carvers im told after i brought it!

Mine is knackerd after very little use, it may last ok on an electric if it fits!

they last longer on electric saws due to the slower speed. not sure on the fitting though. Jamie Doeren will know. if its the narrow fitting then the universal mount you get on cannon bars will fit. you'll need a 1/4 pitch sprocket.

the stihl carving bar is in fact the echo bar, just painted in stihl colours.

and are perfectly good.

 

the cannon bars are also very good, and sholud have a fitting for the eleccy saw, but yes, you may need a sprocket conversion.

ive just opened the box which arrived today with...... new 10"inch stihl carving bar!!! lol!!!! we'l see how it lasts!!!! have you guys found any particular chain to be best???????? cant wait to try it tomorrow!!!
