Ok , assuming the revs on the display are constant and don't vary by more than 5 - 10 rpm , that's sufficient.

When you first turn the ignition on and watch the display boot up , does it show 'QC160' before finally showing '0' ?

It's worth taking the black palm switch apart and checking to see that you get continuity between the two wires when the switch is pressed  ?

Also worth removing the forward Herschmann plug (bottom one) from the feedroller control valve  , remove the screw completely and hook out the centre of the plug to check the wire connections ?

Thanks I took the herschmann plug off all together checked changed it ,checked the wires to plug they seem to have 9v to them but when you put the machine to chip speed volts drop ,I’ve checked the voltage to the black switch but not tested the switch ,

Ok , can you locate the black plastic 6 pin Bulgin plug , it's in the loom between the control box on top of the infeed chute and the machine wiring loom  , located in the area behind the battery. Separate the two halves of the plug by unscrewing it and check the pins are clean and most importantly 'dry'.

I'll see if I can find the Bulgin plug test sheet showing how to carry out a continuity test at this plug.
