Greenmech arbtrak 150 revs showing as 500rpm

Hi guys looking for a bit if help, my arbtrak is showing 500rpm on the display no matter where i put the trottle, obv obv wont chip any help? 
i have a hunch that changing from track to chip might havr something to do with it?

Does this model sense rpm off the back of the alternator? @Jase hutch should be along soon to answer this

Firstly I would check that the alternator belt is tight ?

Try unplugging the alternator and plugging it back in ?

When you turn the ignition on and go through the countdown  , what's the last thing on the display before the '0' ?

Ok ill check the belt, if it needs replaced what belt will it be? Its the kubota D1105 engine?
