For many years I am using this canister (5807542-01) it's design is great, except.. well the automatic spouts (that should be the main advantage of this canister)....

I have very early version of it - the first spouts I had the nut had cracked after a while - they were grey plastic. I've changed the nut from a non-automatic spout (black plastic), but it was not easy as it seems everything is pressed in and can not be disassembled, then the nuts seems to stop cracking. Then the auto oil spout stopped to pop out, making me angry every time I was filling the oil, so I changed it for a non-auto one. After some time the same thing happened to gas spout.

I found this video of a man complaining a fixing the same thing

Those spouts are pretty expensive - actually instead buying both new, it's better to buy a complete canister. Now my question is - does the new spouts fix this issue or husqvarna is trying to rob us with this? Are there any better options with automatic spouts?

I have one . They are only any good if you use an alkylate fuel only . As soon as you put pump fuel in them they turn to rat shit . As Mark says above . Get a Stihl one and forget it .
