Never had one in that many parts , mainly because it lasted really well and was still going strong when it was sold  i resent selling it as it was my first chainsaw that got me through forestry college and in industry afterwards .

The ones I had a dull view of was the 340 and 345.

Is that the genuine pot or aftermarket one?

Did like the 351g..

no idea, never had another to compare it with. barrel looks in decent nick, might source some parts and rebuild it in between more desirable projects as long as it isn't cost prohibitive.

It is all OEM. You can get a decent bit out of these 350 saws, they are light, have decent AV and can come alive with a bit of work.

The comment about 346s screaming but no grunt...been out with mine today and it goes like a train on N20. I don't agree on the 357...OK, mine isn't very standard, is almost impossible to pull over with the decomp being used and it flies but each to his own, personally, most 3 series Husqvarnas are pretty special.

Unless of course you have Spud ported 346 like mine . Pulls a 15" full chiz driven by an 8pin rim . Fast as fcuk .

Maybe , the 357xp was tuned up wrong or on the wrong size  sprocket, bar, chain configuration.. was the bosses saw, bulky and slow I thought.

Just maybe I was lucky with my 350 and some  of them are like brummie cars above .

I'm just on about factory standard , I thought the 346 screamed its knackers off but was gutless in proper wood ,  351 /353 was  had more grunt or torque,

And the 350 was a cross between the both i found  it could carry upto a 20" bar and still work effectively ..... gawd I miss that saw

I could be wrong but I thought the 351 and 353 had metal crank cases unlike the plastic of the 350 . Personally I would not put anything longer than 15"/16" on a 50cc saw . If only for the balance . You know , the old rule of thumb , divide the cc by 3 and that gives you approx max bar lenght in inches .

I never got intimate with the 351 or 353g

Think the 3 series only just came out   when I was 14 ish and have seen loads of 346xp/xpg but only ever one  351g and one 353 but the 353 was a bit improved over the 351 .

When I was that age I didnt follow the science just what was in the brochure !
