Shipping Containers

Hi guys,

 

Quick bit of advice sought, i have been looking for shipping containers to store gear in and also convert into an office but make it vandal proof and make it harder for thieves to help themselves, i have just found a site who is clearing 2 already converted 20' containers both a bit tatty but no rust holes and nothing a wash and a lick of paint wouldn't fix. They are both lined out and insulated with 3 strip lights and 4 power points wired in (just need connecting once on site) they have shutters to cover windows to lock up.

 

I have only recently started looking about but these do seem a good buy at £825ea including delivery can anyone confirm that its a good price or not.

 

I would really appreciate some advice from anyone in the know.

thats not a bad price deliverd, if ther sound & water tight ?? ,they varey quite a lot in price ,

I looked at them on friday when it was tipping it down and they were both dry inside with no obvious water damage, i didn't get up on the roof to inspect for rust tho.

transport can be around £40 per hr for a hiab truck usaly min of 4hrs ,snap em up

If your buying for an office they will need to be insulated and ventilated a normal shipping container can create stacks of condensaton on the inside. Fine for storing tools in though.

These are isulated and lined and were building site offices up until recently so fingers crossed should be ok but know what you mean.

thats a good price i paid 750 for a 10ft one in good condition and 850 for a 20ft one in reasonable condition both watertight but get loads of condensation !!

Were yours straight containers or modified in anyway?

just paid 360 for a 12 x 5 container and have located a 12 x8 with a personel door for a 100 collected
