deflate tire, remove clamp, reinflate tire, drive off with trailer, leaving 150 quids worth of ineffective crap behind.

Good luck with that.

The tangs go past the rim.

Mini grinder wouldn’t take too long though.

It’s just another level of security.

If you’re leaving the trailer for any length of time it’s worth taking at least one wheel off and taking it with you.

One good idea I have seen was post sunk in to the ground with a tow hitch bolted and welded to it. The trailer was hitched to this post and a hitch lock over it all. I thought it was a good idea?

mate of mine had his caravan nicked, first he knew of it was the five 0 knocking on the door, we got your caravan sir, no it cant be mine, goes to the rear of his property and there's the tow hitch still securely fastened to the rsj he welded a towball to and  hammered into the ground about 5 feet they simply unbolted it from the van and left it there taking the caravan,, the cnuts would have got away with it had it not been for five 0 sitting up the road from the local pub waiting for possible dui, when this transit with a caravan came past wagging the van all over the road,, they had tied it onto the towbar with a rope! plate on the transit came up dodgy, plate on the caravan came up with its owner. a mile up the road. he phone me the next day,, what the best thing for thieves,,,

"ya only need 3 things" I told him,, "a spade, soft ground, and a big bag of lime".

Thanks for the replies.

It's parked inside a shed when not in use but it doesn't feel secure using the built in Ifor Williams barrel hitch lock. Want at least some kind of decent visual deterrent. It's only going to be used for delivering logs so it won't have anything left in it like machinery that I need to secure.

Those Ifor Williams built in locks are only only good for securing trailer to ball hitch when is transit to kept it in place and not to prevent theft as very easy to overcome.
