The physics involved in an area still dominoing from storm Arwin are incredible. A rookie especially or anyone can come unstuck.  I need lessons. Anyone in Northumberland please contact re. training thanks

Was that just a gopro stuck to a branch?

 

Try a branch further back, with lens at a more oblique angle. You'll capture the subject in their environment, rather than just the subject.

I was only pulling your pisser about the camera bud .    Regards the bar getting pinched you need to look at the  sticks and asses the tensions and compressions . If you can tell that its  supported  at either end and not under your proposed cutting area then you know that if you cut from the top its going to close on your bar .So , you make a small cut from the top and the main cut from the under side using the top of the bar .
