Anyone else have problems with the fuel caps cross threading?? My 550 has been doing it for a while and even after changing the cap it made no difference. I thought it may just be the thread inside being a little dodgy, but now my 3 month old T540 MK3 has started doing it!!!

Is it something I'm doing wrong or is this a common problem

You need a nice Stihl flip top.

I'm just joking, only husqvarna I have is 365 and never had a cross threading problem.

Theres a trick to threads, if you know it will never happen.

Turn it in reverse with light pressure until you feel it pass the ramp, its now aligned, screw it in.

Particually useful for steel bolts in soft alu, which are easily crossed.
