Hi all,

I'm having issues with a Cs 370 es, it's a slow cutter, I would either like to speed up the chain on the current set up and keep the 058 bar and chain or swap to 1.3 050 low profile bar, chain and sprocket. Both of which need a change of sprocket... What I'm looking for is someone with old school knowledge to be able to x things over. The saw is semi pro, kept on aspen only, on factory standard set up.

It struggled to do a plunge cut on a 12" ash log on a razor sharp chain.

Looking for help as I can't x reference the parts, echo doesn't shows two types of sprocket but only lists one that's 325 x 058 think 7 tooth factory standard.

I'm hoping so one might be able to put me right or say I've got one in a shed kind of thing.

Thanks in advance

Seem odd for a small saw to have 0.58, I thought it would already be 0.50 from new as standard

See in the manual it is listed as a 0.50

Alot of different bar options here:

Chainsawbars - Largest selection of chainsaw guide bars and chainsaw chain for Stihl, Husqvarna, Echo and Dolmar...

The  6 tooth 3/8 sprocket here;

Parts lookup and repair parts diagrams for outdoor equipment like Toro mowers, Cub Cadet tractors, Husqvarna chainsaws...

Seems a rare-ish part no. to find^ & abit expensive?

I brought a pair of them, thought they'd be either good thinning saws or basic logging saws. Both came in on the same set-up... I did try a 7 tooth 050 sprocket from China but sprocket wasn't deep enough so it almost caused clutch to burn the side casing!.

Been to a few dealers and even on the echo site, shows a different sprocket but no listing for it!

It's strange, some of the chainsaw bar chain retailers have not got any further, yet an 050 bar and chain fits it but not the sprocket 😔

Thanks

The USA link gives the  sprocket  dimensions they seem to be all different.

Its  the 6 tooth spur 3/8 is what you want I think?.(more torque less speed but with narrower kerf helping speed?) The 7t spur .325 (with  .058) is for the 420es in that manual

I dont think if you need a new sprocket for a new bar/chain .050 .325 as are  you saying you have .058 , & .325 atm? (just the correct bar mount pattern)

This stuff confuses me so correct me  if wrong....

So first image is the set up, currently, and it's painfully slow, even though it's on a 13" bar

Second image is a carlton and on 050" 1.3mm. It's great it fits the mount but, big but the chain doesn't sit correctly on the sprocket... Like two teeth trying to fit into one v on the sprocket! So I'm a bit stumped, if you change the chain then it won't fit the sprocket on the tip of the bar!

Doesn't help oregon hovering up all the other brands that used to make sprockets.

Kind of regretting buying two of the echo Cs 370 there like the old farmboss 029 and 039...your waiting on the saw to catch up! 😂

Yeah I got that thanks, it is a chain that is fitted correctly, I've got the next problem, I've found the right sprocket via your link..

How ever looking at the saw thes a toothed collar which the sprocket fits into 7 tooth geared thing, echo list another one but I've had to email a dealer as it seems the are two collars, both with the last three numbers different, if this cog is 6 toothed and the others 7 then finally I can get the sprocket changed and put a thinner bar on!

Thanks so far
