I placed a stroopwaffle on top of an ever-so-slightly-wider-than-usual mug of coffee once, expecting the molten caramel goodness to go all the way to the edge. Walked away for a few minutes, came back to find a missing waffle, and the subsequent investigation discovered both stroopwaffle and coffee to be ruined. The structural integrity of the stroopwaffle couldn't cope with the slightly larger soft centre, and it took a dive.

Lesson learned... sometimes, just be content with what you have, and don't ask too much of things.

Lot of Dutch here.

Always ask for a stroopwaffle when I work for them.

Very nice with a tea or coffee.

Don't they ever offer you a smoke and a pancake?

Yeah, with stroop waffles you need your A game.

I tell you, I learned a lot that day, and really grew as a person.
