Looks like one of the many Horsechestnut cultivars, probably with sterile seeds. 
Look up Aesculus Indica for a starter. 👍

That did occur to me but with what? The "fruits" are segmented with several chambers which hold small dark brown seeds.

How segmented?  My conker tree has 2 or 3 nuts per husk... 

(I think... ask again in another month or so...)

 

Could we get a fruit dissection photo?
