Hi, I'm no gardener but I bought this pear tree last year, I was hoping this year we may get some fruit from it. The leaves are not looking too good and it has not flowered for any fruit. Can anyone help, tell me if or what I am doing wrong. Many thanks

Catching up on this, I get my trees from the link above - had about 10 off him and no failures yet. Mum wants an 'orchard' (well 3 trees) so will go back to him again.

For fruit, had a lot this year, apple crumble every other day plus 5 to 10 bug eaten windfalls for the cows every other day for the last 6 weeks.. and I still have a lot left on the tree (10 year old trees, eaters are in full afternoon sun, cookers are in partial shade)

I'm totally high jacking the thread here.

I have two mature pear trees, 10m high and over 50 years old.  They produces large hard pears.  I think its a conference pear.  The trees have suffered from lack of pruning and got top heavy, but I am slowly resolving that and taking off a few mature branches every year. They are now shooting from lower down. The leaves look healthy.

The problem is they produce very few pears - 3 this year, 5 last year.

Any ideas as to how I can increase the yield?  Nutrients/dung?
