Sasmo probably sold out and became Laimet, even the same model numbers from the 1980s.

 

Great chippers as they produce very little fines but by god do they need some HP to lift and drive them.

 

Did look into importing the little PS model, expensive to be honest and probably a HSE ball ache.

difficult to sharpen correctly but good chip production and quality, from memory no way of stopping it feeding in, I think Alex price converted one with a lorry disk brake to make safer, I remember having a piece of elm jammed into the chipper one day hell of a job to clear it, also maybe a metal plate that hinged down to try to stop wood feeding in long time ago now tho
