Can anyone give me a idea of what pto speed everyone is running when using a Farmi 260 wood chipper? My rollers are not kicking in till 860 rpm on the farmi display.

Well, providing the tractor has dual range 540 or 1000, if it's not sounding like a bag of spanners at 860 then slowly take it up to 1000.

I should ask is it direct PTO shaft to the chipper flywheel, 540 usually need a gearbox to boost it and you'd never want to go much higher without grenading the transfer box.

1000 rpm on the PTO is usually around 2000rpm engine.

860 is probably practically on tickover, depending on your dashboard either find the PTO reading or add some revs until your chipper reads around 950-1000

Always ran mine on 1000. Speed is your friend here, keep the rotating mass rotating. On lighter stuff we'd reduce the revs but I could count on one hand how often it was used at 540.

From memory 2200 rpm on the mog was 1000 pto, we often ran it between 1800 and 2000 rpm.
