Today whilst pressure testing the fuel tank on the saw with my mityvac air was rushing out of the green tank vent. Am i right in saying this shouldn't happen and its a one way valve to let air in and not out? Thanks

I believe that this would be a one way valve. If you stick your mityvac on the actual breather assembly as pictured, does it flow both ways or during your tank test, did the air simply just escape around a loose breather assembly.

There is no non return valve as such  in there, just a sintered vion block, once this becomes saturated in fuel/ oil it becomes a breather, a pipe is then connected to it and fed up through the carb floor and onto a small nipple next to the carb, if you force an excess pressure into the tank they will leak .
