An update on the tip site directory. We now have over 1500 sites listed that offer a financial incentive for using them. Just a reminder, keep an eye out for the grey pins!

 

In total there are now over 13,500 sites throughout the UK to choose from.

Found a site on here last month.

 

Turned up with a midday load on the off chance they'd take it. The homeowner seemed very happy and had even taken out a garden fence for me to back in and tip, very accomodating...

 

I thought she must have been waiting in hope for a long time

 

Finished tipping off and closing the truck doors to see another tree team trundling down the lane.

 

Turns out they'd called, arranged to tip into her garden and who she was really expecting. I'd just stolen their spot...

 

Moral of the story, call before turning up...

 

Or drive an unmarked van

Yes you're not supposed to just turn up, that was one of the reasons I made the directory a premium feature in the first place in order to cut down on it being abused. Obviously need to clamp it down a bit tighter.

Can I ask what sort of prices an arborist would like for tipping a couple of tonnes of wood.

I'd hate to underpay somebody for such a valuable (to me) resource
