I know a 130 can tow 3.5tons and GVW of 3.5 tons so does that mean its MAM or GWT is 7 tonnes?

Or if it's fully loaded can it only tow less?

and I guess It needs a tacho..?

my understanding is that - yes your train weight can be 7 tons not sure aboout the tacho requirements - not sure if thats down to distance traveled from base?

The Maximum Authorised Mass of the vehicle is 3.5tonnes, if you have a 3.5 tonne trailer the MAM of the combination is 7 tonnes.

You dont want to tow a trailer heavier than 3.5 tonnes?

ok a 130 is 3500kg mam and 7000kg on overrun brakes a trailer of 3500kg. However if it has "linked braking" i.e air brakes it can run at 7500kg gross train yep a 4ton trailer!:laugh1:

as fora tacho well yes most probably so!
