Its a " spud " ported saw ( before he retired ) but the muffler was made by a guy in the US who was able to weld stainless to mild steel . I have one on my 390 as well . In fact now I look at the photo I think that is the 390 but they share the same muffler .

Pleased to meet you 🙂Back in the day I used to work a lot with stainless . monel metal , inconel etc etc . I always found that with EN58J stainless  ( non magnetic ) you could weld it without any filler rod .

I removed the baffle and let the pipes in till they hit the roof of the muffler. I’m still getting back pressure which is good and the saw runs slightly cooler and much nicer now. Good learning curves start with a student who wants to learn and teachers who are happy teaching.
