  1. 1. Opinions Please: What are you finding best for a chipper truck doing Tree / Arb work and with some Grounds Maintenance: 4x4 Tipper or a Van Tipper? Also.... Please State why in the comments.

    • 4x4 Tipper
    • Van Tipper - Single Cab + Tool Boxes
    • Van Tipper - Double Cab

If all you are after is a workhorse,  transit tipper gets my vote. Cheap to fix and maintain, as reliable as most options. Get a fair amount in one. Personally,  I'd go for a tool box. Tools in cab, always gassing off, hedgetrimmiers seem to be the worst culprit for that. Of course you might need seats for crew? And off road, (transits really don't like off roading) you'll need 4x4. But if you don't, it's an unnecessary expense,  but if you can find a 3.5t 4x4 and can afford it, go for it

But then the payload goes down because of the extra weight of the 4wd system 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

But if you could have that as a 5 ish ton, with no licence restrictions (how it should be!), then yes, as described with the highest power option and 3.5 ton towing👍👍

If you kept the body very lightweight, you'd still have the payload that one of the 3.5 mini lorries (Canter or Grafter) has I should think.

Problem is they're rare as rocking horse manure, and cost a bomb when they do pop up! if you have to deal with ULEZ BS as well, even more!
