For comparison I bought my 088 (no bar) for £840 a 18 months ago. Since then ebay prices have gone nuts.  I'm very happy with it so far, all the parts are genuine and it has clearly been looked after.

On the cost saved versus new, I guess it depends on what you use the saw for and how happy you are fixing things yourself (because let's face it, only one major repair at a mainstream dealer would eliminate the cost saving).  If you use the saw for milling as a hobby, rather than as a job, you care less about the down time.  Which is linked to my point above about - who actually 'needs' a 120cc saw day in day out?

i'd say around £1100

clean it properly, get some good pics then put it on ebay when they have the less 80% off selling fees offer on, they are normally every few weeks

most on here will say its worth less than what it'll actually sell on ebay for

most i ever got for one of my 880's was £1600!!

Thanks all.

I reckon that makes the average opinion around £1k?

As mentioned, it's for sale in the Netherlands with current bidding at €900. I'll let it go as long as it makes over 1k then.

Pretty insane really, a ten year old tool fetching two thirds of new price! (I'm not complaining!)

My near 60 year old tool is still performing much better than some of those younger ones out there.

Do you swing your tool beside those younger ones regularly for comparison?

Update: It went for 1000 euro-dollars (roughly 950 brit-bucks at the moment).

I got offered 1100 after, but was already in negotiations with a quicker buyer.

Buyer was happy, I'm happy, I believe the butler is happy too, all good!
