Hi .

if I have a load of unseasoned logs in builders bags will they go mouldy or rotten and will they dry out or do I have to have vented bags?

A lot of builders bags are single use anyway as the ass goes out of them so easily.

If you can't do anything else at least make a few holes around the sides of the bags and put a sheet of plywood or such like over them if they're outside.

They need a bit of airflow through them essentially.

If you have them in a bag, where is the moisture going to go? My thought it not very far, it will pop out the logs, look about and pop back into the logs again.

Drying logs is simple:

Air flow

Keep the water off

Heat

in roughly that order, no air flow in bags, no drying.
