hello all, as described in the title i've been having trouble with my stihl 241 chainsaw. It runs fine until I put the chainbrake on then cuts out and wont start again. This is a nuisance as I want to be able to use the chainbrake when i'm moving around without this happening. Anyone got any ideas what could be causing this and how to fix it? Thanks, Rob S

Probably either the clutch spring has failed and this would show itself as the chain spinning on idle or the clutch drum bearing has failed.

Both relatively easy and cheap to fix.

If the clutch bearing has failed, check the oiler arm is still locating on the clutch drum and the end hasn't worn off. Seen this before on numerous MS261s.
