Can't see no fresh rot that holeΒ  looks old / healed up

I see nothing around that can be damaged by that apple tree. TheΒ  tree looks the only thing decent in the whole garden tbh...

Id leave tree alone unless you want to prune it to increase fruit yield and that is bestΒ  done sympathetically over a period of several yrs not massacred, in a oner.....

Unless you do hate trees that is.....
