Still looks like the Douglas that I've milled except that the sap wood has turned greyish due to it having laid about for a long while, any smell would have been in the bark which is long gone which is just as well or it would probably have rotted, Douglas can get quite hard when left and be rough on teeth, band or chain.

Just debating what to do with this odd log, maybe 50mm cuts and sticker for a while. Still has the pink colour after a week or two cut.
