Hey,

with the current bombardment of notch rope runner bashing filling all arb forums (which is rightly so seeing as they are taking no blame) I have been searching for the OG rope runner and failing.

does anyone know it is now discontinued?

thanks team

Have you got a link?

What is the problem with the Notch RRPro?

Cheers.

FTR, I have a couple of the OG RR'ers and a RRPro.  Just interested to know what the pallava is all about.

Cheers again.

I have been.

Had a little issue with the bird not engaging after a couple of particularly wet, snotty days pruning lime trees.

I little wash and a bit of 3in1 Oil and it was good as new.

I thought it was due to the article in TCIA where a guy took a swing and hit the deck.  Apparently his rope was over a limb and it didn’t engage.

My issue wasn’t the wearing of the spring, it was gunk from multiple Lime trees getting in.

A wash and 3in1 and it was good to go.

Haven't read that article. Ill give it a look. You could well be right, I only heard about the spring issue

If that is the case then it isnt much different from other mechanicals.

In direct rope angle exiting the device can influence how the device functions.  The Notch instructions even has a explanitory notice and diagram to show.

That was the issue Rich. They have a potential to not engage at all because the internal spring wears away at the case

any links to this, just curious as thinking of getting one.

thanks
