Hi,

I finished up an ND Arb course in June last year an am seeking a trainee position in Scotland, i have cs 30/31, 38/39, MEWP, driving license and emergency first aid. I have forestry labouring experience prior to college and very good work ethic with a keen interest in Arb. I would also be available to work part time on a day to day basis depending on location.

letters go in the bin mate tbh, and email get deleted. Go to their yard and ask, face to face with the boss, they are busy folk and they probably get dozens of cv's a week, all saying the same stuff, like the out doors, enjoy mountain biking, got tickets but no experience, you have to prove yourself, even if you work for nothing, if they have a 3 man squad, where does the other guy go, the days of jumping in the chip box are lon gone and 4 in a cab up front isnt too cool, you need to make yourself out to be a very good package, have all your own kit,(ppe) pack lunch and vehicle if you have to follow them about, the other lads wont like this because they might be set in their ways and think of you as competition, but you are, every lad we show how to do something is our future competitor, dont ask the lads or the secretary for work, speak to the boss, persistance over rules talent big time:biggrin:

not sure if this would interest you or not, its not immediate, but for spring/summer - its the apprenticeship scheme run by the FC, 2 yr placement in scotland, salary 13.5K - i rang the guy and put my name down to be contacted when they sort out placements, then you apply and take it from there. sounded ggod to me, anyways the guy will explain it to you - contact

Ashley Woodhouse, 01463 252648 - took me a few goes to get hold of him, but a nice guy
