Just wondering what you all think about the Husq 357xp chain speed and PPE issues, if indeed you've heard anything at all?

All thoughts / comments welcome

there maybe issues with the 346xp as well, the 357 issue is chain speed exceeds the 20m/sec rating of many trouser as its 22m/sec chain speed therefore needs higher ppe requirements, there was a bit of a comment on it in FJ a few months back in an article on the 346xp as theortically the 346 has a lower chain speed despite having the same drive sockets and chain, but reving several hundred rpm higher?

this has insdeed been covered before

in a nut shell ppe is the lowest for m of control in the hiarachy of risk,

it is not fool proof and is the weakest of all controls

even if you take some class 3 trouseres got them dirty and oilly and then stuck an 044 or 357 et al in to them you would not enjoy the end result.

remember last line of defence
