Battery recommendations looking for long life with intermittent use of machine

I like solar panels. I've got one on a battery that came from the scrappy, been running electric poultry netting for over a year now, and I've never had to drag the battery up and charge it off the mains.

The voltage started getting a bit low around december, and I was going to move the panel so it would get some sunlight, but never got round to it in the end and it pulled through.

I see solar ones, usual suspects 50p from far away, poss sensible one sealey around 20 £ any suggestions from experience welcome, I note some are not weatherproof, and therefore inside screen to lighter or battery  , I will need at least 1 that will be outside for the sawmill, no cab on that yet :001_smile:

Absolutely, I've just started my quad for towing the field topper and first turn of the key. Hasn't been touched all winter did exactly the same last year. Twenty quid from lidl or aldi, they both do them and screwed to the roof of the shed.

The first year I had it, I had to buy a brand new battery. The panel has paid for itself many times over.
