storm damage pricing

I doubt the customer will get back to Bob, it will be embarrassing for the customer who will have to lick his wounds.

I have drove over and had a glance at the job and IMO you were way out if that's what you priced.

You've priced for one day with one climber and two groundies. You would have to overdose on speed and fit turbos to the saws to get them done in one day.

It should have been minimum two days with one climber and two groundies. Which converts to 2x £450 plus time already spent on emergency callout which I would have charge £200 for.

All together £1100

would you have used your mewp? that limes mighty high of the ground!!!

He put £450 in to fell, firewood and chip everything.

Price that was actually put in was £600 for the trees and £150 for the stumps (price from a stump company by phone).

Job spec was get it on the ground and into pieces the customer could manage to chop/split for firewood and if time allowed chip what was possible in one day removing nothing from site. It was specified to the customer the price was for one days work.

I may have been a bit under in my pricing but it appears we are all pricing to a different spec.

You should tell him he was the laughing stock of Huddersfield, it has gone round all the local tree surgeons who are now treating it as a right joke. But wait till you get your money first.
