Hamadryads big phat fungi thread!

Recommended Posts

a fine rack of Inonotus hispidus and a rather nice big macrolepiota procera (the field parasol)

go back to the ash in a few seasons and witness the birth of the necroses or "hispidus canker"

Nice what associations does the "field Parasol" have? with roots, soil type, manure etc

On a separate note I tried to make the photos rotate the correct way but the forum kept filing them back over. not my bad, apologies for the bad necks!

Macrolepiota procera is a common saprotrophic mushroom in unmanured or sparsely manured grasslands and roadsides, in parks and gardens and in broad-leaved and mixed woods on poor soil.
