professional drivers are now required to be refreshed every five years. so why not c/saw operators.

 

we sell our services to the public so hse look differently at us, as apposed to joe blogs cutting trees in there own garden.

Just had a horrible thought, if you are driving to and from a site in a company vehicle, (as opposed to a private car) would you be classed as a professional driver, and if so would you be required to refresh as stated above???

i dont have a link. but the change relates to hgv drivers i will post info on monday when i get my hands on it.

i broke my arm 2 years back, hse were on me like a rash. i was luky because everything was in order (risk assessments etc). i would'nt want to be on the wrong side of them!

First i've heard of this,they have to have a medical every 5 years i think.

There is bit of a difference between driving a truck and using a saw, we have create a safe zone to keep the public out,trucks and the public share the road.
