I have heard other people talking about these free drawing tools and also just using word shapes, i dont know how you get the LA to accept any of your drawings as they are not working scaleable drawings which is needed.

 

 

You couldnt produce any special construction plans either :confused1:

fair point there. if you need absolute scaleability then cad is the only way to go. i'm in construction so we use it along with some other land surveying programs but its all £££ and for quick sketches that are a bit more developed than a back of a fag packet, open office suits.

does anyone know what cad would cost for a home user? not commercial?

 

 

The 2 links for amazon would be for home or work use really so about the same. Although there are 'work' programs that can hit £500 - £1000 but im guessing for that price it comes with a assistant??? :lol:
