Well, Up here in the Mids I've worked large jobs for local CC, Education authority and Private colleges all wanted copy's of NPTC Certs + chapter 8 were relevant and insaurance. I think its changing since the habit of employing dedicated H&S Officers.

 

Not saying your wrong at all, but are you sure the clients you speak of didn't simply want certs/tickets relating to the work you do, did they really insist on nptc or where they just the certs the guys had.

 

See i've worked all over the country for over 15 years and for all types of clients bluechip the lot, not once has anyone insisted we have nptc,..

where have you got this re doing every 5 years total ollocks

h&s recomend an update every 5 years but that can take many forms

most of stuff on that list is same for all my 8 colleages

 

Well nptc either do or are doing 5 year refresher courses if so insurances would require them to be done to stay insured. And if you did not refresh im sure that would be a claus not to pay out. imo.

Im insured to protect myself from idiots. And what qualifications mean your good no they mean you can pass an assesement .

 

 

well from what i been hearing on here they want to add refreshers.
