Support posts / systems

Hi folks, hopefully I've posted in the right section apologies if not.  I've been asked to provide some kind of support system for this Birch, customer apparently want's nothing cut just a support installed.  I've not seen this in person just been sent the picture.  My first thought was to take weight out but as I say the customer want's nothing removed.  I have no experience with support posts / systems but I'm very keen to help the customer as I suspect the tree is much loved.

After a little google I've seen a few props but can't find anywhere that sells them.  I'd like some advice please regarding what I should use and also where I might be able to source the kit please.

Is the lean increasing then or are they just worried that it might go? Looking at the decay in the base I would be concerned.

I'm interested in what current best practice is, tree prop seems like it might have a similar effect to rigid tie bars in bracing which are no longer fitted as they take the natural movement away

I've not spoken to the customer yet just received the picture.  Decay at the base looks like a problem, I need to find out if it's become worse recently or not.  Just hoping someone can point me in the right direction for the materials and what should be done.

Did a large fig tree many years ago used steel box section about 75mm by 3mm with flat bar welded on the top as a V under limb and a peg on the bottom sitting on a concrete slab with a hole for peg.

Or just let coney hedge grow up to support it.
