Nice to know there's one left somewhere. I've always felt robbed that I never got to see a landscape with elms in it. I guess future generations are going to feel the same about the ash..

When we moved to our present home 11 years ago we had two elm trees. They both had space to provide a beautiful canopy. About five years ago we noticed that all was not well with the previous full canopy starting to look more like the top of my head.
I cut down the second dead tree yesterday. A real loss of one of my favourite trees.
