I had my old 90 hp re mapped.... Before it was athsmatic and not the best. After it was great. Went a lot better and more torque.

Used to tow my tracked chipper on trailer a lot so 1800kg etc and with grinder on 2350kg

Did you tell insurance? Any mechanical issues as a result?

Not the lack of power i worry about its the lack of grip that worries me.

The transit has been bomber in terms of being fully laden, no hill it wont do in first gear! Did have a 90hp cabstar once that would not go up a hill in first, that was a worrying reverse back down!

The internet knows everything.

I would be surprised if any of the chippers quoted as "sub-750" were actually that when they have a bellyfull of oil and a tankfull of fuel.

What the internet or even the operator manuals says won't do you much good when you get waved on to the weighbridge.

As someone above has said, just do the test!

Interesting comment about sub 750kg units weighing more than stated and them being taken over a weigh bridge. Please could you expand on this and enlighten us with your knowledge and experience?

Obviously an expert on finance but wants to commit little on a subject about which he knows little. Perhaps he ought to start a thread on finance and stick to that? I for one would leave him to it as it is a subject that I am unclear on the intricacies of, and indeed, not passed as authorised by the FDA. Our own GreenMech Finance chap, Pete Maple, gets the call from me or my dealers and cracks on. When he starts on comparing ours with theirs, I tend to glaze over!
