Hi, first post here. I'm a beginner at climbing trees, and recently started studying to become an arborist. So in order to train, especially at home, I've decided to buy a harness. I can easily borrow the other stuff needed from the school. However, my question is something along the line of that we're taught using DRT in class, but from many external consults and companies, it seems like most roll with SRT. I obviously want to make use of both, but stick to DRT for starters. The harness I'm aiming to buy is a Petzl Sequoia, but here's the thing. It seems to come in two variations, one SRT and one DRT. I know that the SRT model has like a hitch at the back and the front, which the DRT model doesn't. Otherwise they both look the same. Would it be better to invest in the SRT model, and then also use it for DRT? Or is the SRT model not designed for DRT? Even though they visually look the same?

Yes.

I have the DRT and my mate has the SRT. It does the same job, just gives you the oportunity to use it for both climbing methods.
