All these expensive hammocks look great. Really stable that tree boat.

 

But... Can you do this in one? I got this in Brazil, It isnt water or mozzy proof but thankfully it is idiot proof!

I found a old canvas sign from a winery sale with ropes running top and bottom worked really well. Plenty strong enough and plenty of room.

When I was a wee nipper we used to just use fertilizer sacks with bailing twine. :001_rolleyes::biggrin:

I want one! i looked at getting one at the beginning of the summer but they were a lot of money. I might get a DD camping hammock though are they good for putting up high in trees or are they a low thing only.

If it takes your weight 2 foot of the ground its no different 30 foot in the canopy!

Even Steve sillet wore a rope and harness when tree boat sleeping in the canopy, so I would do the same and therfore hammock strength/reliability is no issue.

 

apparently the best harnessed up sleeping position is on your back with legs positiond heel to heel like a frog!
