srt is something im really keen on trying but down here in cornwall there aint many guys using modern methods to climb , whan is the next arb show  and lets have some oppinions on a smaller diamiter rope that i can use with my lock jack

SRT is something im gonna really get into in the new year:thumbup1:

Now to the thinner ropes! haha. I climb using a vt and a lockjack and i run them both on tachyon(new england and teufleberger). The tachyon is 11.5mm and is by far my favourite rope!! Its way better than marlow which i cant stand!!

Its very light and there's hardly any stretch in them. Now i can splice double braid its even better!!

Alot of people also climb on blaze which is 11mm. Ive never climbed on it myself but i think its just that little bit too thin.

Hope that helps a bit!! haha

Merry christmas mate:thumbup:

Your already pretty modern:biggrin: by the sounds of things by using the effcient albiet not my cup of tea Lockjack and ropeguide combo, your throwlining and have ascenders so SRT is just a natural progression and really its not that hard yet addictive once your into it.
