hi there does anyone know of or use a company thatwould come to site and collect large lumps of timber suitable for funiture etc? how much do they pay for oak say 6ft long and 3ft round? in bucks area many thanks Andy

Yes.
I do this regularly.
At 6' (which is very short)
x 3' is about £60-£75 a piece.
If it's rot free, straight, vertical grown, and from a forest so there's no nails,wire,clothes line, toys etc inside the trunk.
From a garden, maybe £50 or less.

Its a shame there`s not a section in the milling forum where decent sticks could be offered up with the location and not buried by other threads.Tidy few tons of interesting oddsnsods here @Steve Bullman :)

Spot on Bob,
I was thinking the same thing.
Perhaps with some sort of pre amble about how logs are priced, to manage expectations, and so sellers and buyers who are new or inexperienced can see relative values.
