There used to be a dodgy garage by me who used to have a boomerang car. They would let the new owner have the car for a few days then pick it up with the spare keys, change the car id and other identyfiable parts then sell it on again and again.

I know the person you had it off is helpfull, who did he get it off? was this person just bideing his time to take it back? Sorry i am always suspicious of people, the fact you only had it for 48hrs, alarm and immobiliser was bypassed makes me think. Dont think you will see it again tho sorry to say.

I agree. I can't understand how anyone apart from who I bought it off or someone local could even know I had it as it was only on the street for about 24 hours. Without the recent local thefts targeting builders van and trucks I'd be much more suspicious of him. Still nothing can be ruled out until/if they find it....which I know is unlikely.

Thanks Arborist. My next truck will have all the tracking gadgets fitted by a top company. The more the merrier! The truck reg is MV02 ZVA in case you see it.

Mozza, the insurance tell me that they wait 21 days for the police to find it... Luckily its Christmas & New Year otherwise it would be much worse.
