The hardest bit i found in the assessment for CS32 was getting the tree hung up to winch out the assessor told us it was a fail if you did not hang one up first go so you do need to line them up well:thumbup1:

We were aloud as many attempts as we needed to get a tree hung up? :confused1:

Although obviously its in your interest to hang it up first time :thumbup1:

:sneaky2: think you had been lied to, i took 5 trees to get one hung up :blushing: at least i didnt have to clear them up as their was a harvester behind us  then i got my saw pinched as the one that hung up shifted, so spent the next 20mins getting it out again, but its all good, i still passed easily, as i went through the correct process of getting it out

I dont think there is need to rush anything, including getting a tree hung up!

I was told that the NPTC certs are all about safe working and doing things the right way. So long as you follow the correct procedures during the practical bit and know the theory for those things you dont do, then you should take your time and get things done the right way- thats what my instructor advised and I passed OK.
