hi bart! camilla told me you worked there today, i would have come and said hi but i had to leave. it looks like i'll be back next year to carve that other lump... ;-)

 

Ill try and pop over when you do that, was wondering what was going to happen with that other chunk :001_smile:

Nice profile, pose is brill' harder to carve but do you think its better than your Tatton Park piece?

 

I like this one better than the tatton park one, I don't quite know why, but its the piece i've enjoyed carving most from the whole year. I would have liked the wood to be larger diameter, I could have got a better join in the middle then, but I like it anyway.

btw I'll be running more courses next year, I'll do some specific ones like faces etc too. I know harry was interested in the face one, and mick was asking about the advanced. have a good christmas mate and love to all :laugh1:

OK Simon, will be very busy juggling the carving and felling work I have from now till April but let me know when Harry can do it and I will try and make it.

 

Seen a trailer for Tim Burtons Alice yetersday when I took the kids to see Avatar 3d looks amazing, so was Avatar!
