Here's my standing deadwood.

 

It was a goat willow growing somewhere we didn't want it. I chopped the branches at shoulder height then stripped off all the bark to kill it. Finally I sawed off two branches level at seat height and nailed a piece of old scaffold plank across them.

 

Voila; a nice, firm bench! I don't know how long it will last. 2 years old now and no signs of rot.

Didn't think you eco contractors saw such early hours of the day?

 

would of put you down for 9am start kinda guy :biggrin:

you're spot on David......start work approx 9.am.......but get to the park around 8 ish to have breakfast in surroundings such as this.......got to be better than tesco carpark or the greasy spoon.........todays brekkie......chorizo and fried egg in a ciabatta roll.:thumbup1:

a beautiful natural fracture on oak......and great to see the local council getting into the spirit of leaving monoliths along public bridleways.:thumbup:
