Are we saying that the Chinese coil has bitten the dust? You are more likely to get a spark with a smaller gap but it is probably toast - that is why they cost so little[emoji20] Send it back to the supplier if it is faulty.
Chinky coil in the bin and credit received. I've put a Stihl coil on from an old saw. Started out fine, but now fires straight away but as soon as you whack it onto half throttle it fires and then immediately dies and then won't fire unless you return to choke.
If i do this choke to half throttle process several time it eventually runs and works fine...........untill i rest it for 20 mins or so and then the whole tedious temple vein pumping process has to be repeated .
I'm so close but still yet so far.[emoji30]

It could be the metering arm height being a bit low. Worth checking the impulse line although if this was off, I would expect the saw to scream and keep stalling off idle.

It sounds like the saw isn't pumping enough fuel to keep it going - have you checked the flaps on the pump diaphragm - they often perforate!

Pressure check the fuel line and fit a new fuel filter as backstop?
