Let us know when they are rooted, I've only struck cuttings from simple things, like bay.

As it was very red it is probably the variety elegans and this is selected because it has juvenile foliage throughout its life. I imagine in its native environment it sits as a juvenile under the parent trees waiting for them to fall over, then takes off but this "sport" never learned to grow up. A bit like me apparently.

Will do... fingers crossed, will post a pic or two on this thread when something happens! Given that it was grown on from a bouquet of flowers I would hazard a guess that it was from an especially vibrantly coloured lineage.

Hopefully I never learn to grow up either, it looks like it's no fun!

But it is confusing when the body's and the mind's ages diverge significantly!

That's beginning to happen! My head says, "ah go on, manhandle that log there, you hero you" and my back says "whoa there young man, I'm a lot older than you think, them things hurt, where's the key for that digger over there?" My head says, "emm, I left it at home this morning, that's why I'm ringing this log now.." back says "getting forgetful are we?"

dammit. I am getting old!

At least yours talk to each other.  My mind just doesn't understand why the log's still attached to the ground despite the beads of sweat appearing on my forehead ?

Age is a b****.
My brain is convinced I'm still 25.
My body is certified at 42.
Only 26 years to go to retirement!!!

And what the heck has this to do with Conor's ID request on a tree?  ?
