Huntingdon free tip??

I am new so go easy on me:blushing:

 

I have recently moved to Huntingdon (From Essex Via Melton!). A fair while ago back in Essex the farm used to operate a free-tip for local tree surgeons/cutters we let them tip chips and wood as long as they didn't take the piss dumping plastics and the like. We prefered wood (for obvious reasons) but the wood chip was simply composted and spread on the field. The reason i mention this is; do you guys think there is a demand for such a site near the A14/A1 junction? Its early days yet but i think i will have a reasonable yard sorted soon and just thinking of the uses.

Yes, undoubtably. There are a few green waste sites around that area, but they all charge.

A friend of mine in this location lets me use his site he sells all chip to power staitions.

i use the one down the road all the time marshalls tree care old site now owned by huntingdon recycling they charge me 25 pound a load i dont really like the site as the truck smells really nasty for the next 2 or 3 days when u come out off there but it only take me 4 mins toget there

Well that took alot longer than expected, finally we have our yard bought and have moved in:thumbup:, early days so far (not got a big area of concrete or much clear space yet) but if anyone is in a muddle and wants rid of timber (can't take chips yet) I can take a bit, pm me if it would be useful to anyone and i'll give you my contact details.
