If you want true chipping performance, buy an American chipper - Bandit, Morbark, Dynamic Conehead, Woodsman. There is nothing built in europe that compares.

 

 

True, but people looking at buying a 35hp TW may not have the budget for a f*ck off great Bandit.

I think the prices for the 6" bandit and the 150tw are very close if I remember rightly when I got my bandit.

 

I went to orange plant to look at TW but the tinny build and square aperture put me off.

 

I looked at some of the second hand ones to see how they wear after a few hundred ours or so and they don't fair as well as the bandits.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no Timberwolf fan! They've barely changed in 15 years - thought they might have sorted out some of the bad points in that time, but obviously they're selling to many to care!

Hell of a machine, but the point that I was making was that you're looking at chippers for 2 very different markets.

Yeah, its a different market. But take a new TW - £15k? a new 10" bandit or morbark -£20k? not a lot more for a HUGE difference in performance.
