I like that idea. 

A lot cheap than the price difference between wheel and a tracked machine. 

 

A high lift jack and battery impact gun would speed the wheel change and could mount it on the side of the chipper so you always had it. Then I would just fit a bigger jockeys wheel and proper tyre. I'm only guess but with the extra foot print of the tracks I bet the front end is fairly light.

You can see a quick release just above the front of the tracks that lock it solid to the chassis so presume joley wheel can be lifted
